Handmade Holidays Camp!
We are thinking Thanksgiving is the perfect time to begin thanking and thinking of others. Handmade Holidays are all about holiday gift giving! Camps are a combination of focused curriculum (projects to learn terminology and technique) and free choice time, allowing children to continue to practice skills and learn about the creative process.

Topics: drawing, painting, cartooning, clay, wheel-throwing, sewing, mosaics, screen-printing, mono printing and relief printing.

Designed for all kids, ages 4-14, age appropriate activities are delivered by qualified instructors.

My idea for Studio 4 Art when opening 5 years ago was to do all things art.  This meant that I wanted to have a place to buy art supplies, create art, sell art, show art and support art.  As of lately, thanks to the addition of the Annex, I am giddy with all that Studio 4 Art is able to accomplish.  I love what we are doing, what I am doing and all the our community is able to do.

This last event was created, invented and supported by one of Studio 4 Art's own employees, who is also a student at MSA (our local art school for high school students), the Community Art Exchange (CAE).  Thank you for all of your hard work Sam and I can't wait until the next show!

Studio 4 Art is so excited to team up with Novato's Community Art Exchange (CAE) on their first Art Expo Event!!

Featuring artwork by Marin School of the Arts students and electronic musician Mad Zach performing live.

CAE bridges the gap between the MSA Art Department and the Novato community, partnering with local businesses to organize student art shows.

The artist reception will be at 7:00 p.m and Mad Zach will perform at 9:00 p.m.

This has been organized by one of our employees attending MSA.  He has thought to put this whole organization together.  So exciting and thanks Sam!

Dad...

Times have been challenging lately.  Summer months seem to be a blur and I feel that I am just now waking up.  My dad passed away a couple of weeks ago, and his well being has been weighing heavily on my everyday.  He fought hard to be well enough to receive a liver transplant.  Waiting for 5 years, this last year, his body just became too weak.  I miss him greatly.  So glad he is not suffering any longer, but so sad he left this world with so much he still wanted to experience.  The old saying of, "Don't put off tomorrow, what you can do today" I now keep in the forefront of all thoughts.

Love you dad, you were such a good father, understanding, communicative, thoughtful, insightful, there whenever anyone needed you and so funny.  I hope to carry on all that you have taught me.
